What Does Having Good Health Mean?

What is the point of exercise and being healthy? Many of us know that exercise is good for our health, and we’ve seen all the videos on preventing diseases, keeping your heart and lungs healthy, all of that stuff. But what does it really mean? What does having good health mean? Today I went grocery shopping. In my backpack I had 12kg worth of cat food and cat litter. In my shopping bag, I had probably 9kg worth of groceries and I had a large pack of toilet paper. With that I walked through the mall, to the bus interchange, stood on the bus, walked across an overhead bridge, up a hill to my apartment building, up two floors to my apartment and here I am now. Some call this rucking, I call this grocery shopping. Having the ability to do this is why I exercise and continue my movement practice. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to go on a spontaneous hike, play a water sport or ski for longer during a holiday? Or if you accidentally got lost, to be able to walk for long enough to find your way back. Or if you fell sick or got injured, to be able to heal better and faster? Basically, wouldn’t it be nice to have your body as ready as possible for life?
